About Application

The application period is from 20 May 2020 to 2 June 2020 (Application has been closed).

The eligibility criterion of this Scheme are as follows:

  1. Applicants must be from 3-6 person families whose applications for Public Rental Housing (hereinafter referred to "PRH") of Hong Kong Housing Autiority (hereinafter referred to "HA") have been registered for 3 years or above (i.e. the registration date is on or before 3 June 2017); and
  2. The application for PRH of HA must remain valid at any time from the registration date for application of HA’s PRH up to the commencement of the Sub-licence issued under the Scheme (“SL”) and during the subsistence of the SL; and   
  3. The information of the applicant and his/her family member(s) must be the same as that of the application for PRH of HA; and
  4. The applicant and his/her family member(s) must comply with the existing policies and criteria for applying PRH of HA (including but not limited to number of family members, income and asset limit), and must not own directly or indirectly in any manner any domestic property in Hong Kong (including subsidised sale flats) at any time from the date of application for HA’s PRH up to the commencement of the SL and during the subsistence of the SL; and
  5. Tenants/licensees of PRH, Transitional Rental Housing, Monthly/Occupation Licence of HS or HA and their spouses, are not eligible to apply.

During the period from 20 May 2020 to 2 June 2020 , those who are interested to apply can obtain the Application Form and Application Guide during the application period at the following venues or can be downloaded from the designated website.

  1. This website ; or
  2. Housing Society's Applications Section (G/F, Dragon Centre, 23 Wun Sha Street, Tai Hang, Hong Kong) ; or
  3. Housing Society's Estate Management Offices (Note 1) ; or

As the Scheme is aimed at providing transitional rental housing to the applicants for PRH of the HA, if the HA’s PRH application is still valid, such application will not be affected by application under the Scheme, and would be processed in accordance with HA’s prevailing PRH application policy and procedures.

HS will invite applicants to attend the vetting procedures according to the number of vacant flats under the Scheme.

After conducting the vetting procedures, eligible applicants will be invited and will be arranged to take part in the flat allocation procedures according to their priority number and family size and will be arranged to sign the Sub-Licence at specified time.

Whether the invited applicants would have the opportunity of being allocated a flat depends on the flats available for allocation, their priority number and family size.

Yes, you can submit your application. However, please note that successful applicants with flats allocated under the Scheme who have previously applied YKC and/or KTGE, their applications for YKC and/or KTGE will be cancelled. Application fee for YKC and/or KTGE will be non-refundable and non-transferrable.

(Note: Flats available for allocation excluded those occupied by existing licensees of MTRCL and those transitional housing flats to be let out by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service through Community Housing Movement.)

About Sub-Licence Agreement

HS will sign a Sub-licence agreement with those eligible applicants who have been allocated a transitional housing flat.

  • If during the period of occupancy, the Sub-licensee is being allocated with another PRH flats through other ways including but not limited to allocation via HA’s PRH application, the Sub-licensee should immediately give written notice to HS, HS will terminate the SL within 2 months from the commencement of tenancy agreement of the PRH , Sub-licensee shall deliver up vacant possession of the transitional housing flat to HS.
  • If the Sub-licensee successfully purchases in any manner directly or indirectly any domestic property in Hong Kong (including Subsidised Sale Flats) during the stay at Trackside Villas, the Sub-licensee must immediately give written notice to HS,  HS will terminate the SL within 2 months upon receiving the written notice, the Sub-licensee shall deliver up vacant possession of the transitional rental housing flat to HS.
  • The Sub-licensee may also, based on his/her personal circumstances, give no less than 1 month’s written notice to HS to terminate the above SL and deliver up vacant possession of the transitional housing flat to HS.
